Town Council Area Profile

Tel: (01773) 533050

The production of a profile, whist not the normal function of Town or Parish Councils, is important given the current climate financial cut backs by Government, Derbyshire County Council, the Police and the Borough Council. Under such circumstances it is believed it is the responsibility of those authorities closest to their communities to look at having a long-term plan to help develop and improve our community.

The report makes 45 recommendations that cover population density, housing, green belt, economic activity, High Street, youth engagement, development opportunities within the Town, engaging with the community and environment.

The details of the 71 page document can be accessed below. Or by viewing the hard copy held in Heanor Library. Copies of the profile and recommendations have been sent to the County Council, Police, Borough Council and local groups.
