Dreygo the Dragon Family Fun Day
Thank you for making Dreygo the Dragon Family Fun Day a roaring success.
Our Dreygo the Dragon Family Fun Day which was held on Heanor Market Place on Saturday 14 June 2025, was truly magical and it was thanks to you all.
Families and friends came together to celebrate creativity, adventure and community spirit.
From the moment Dreygo the Dragon left the front doors of Heanor Town Hall, the excitement was contagious with children enjoying fairground rides, Pinxton puppets, the wonderful face painter and lots more.

Town Council Area Profile
The production of a profile, whist not the normal function of Town or Parish Councils, is important given the current financial climate and cut backs by Government, Derbyshire County Council, the Police and Amber Valley Borough Council. Under such circumstances it is believed it is the responsibility of those authorities closest to their communities to look at having a long-term plan to help develop and improve our community.
The report makes 45 recommendations that cover population density, housing, green belt, economic activity, High Street, youth engagement, development opportunities within the Town, engaging with the community and environment.
The details of the 71 page document can be accessed below. Or by viewing the hard copy held in Heanor Library. Copies of the profile and recommendations have been sent to the County Council, Police, Borough Council and local groups.
