I have lived in Heanor all my life and was educated at the local schools. I have been committed to public service both as a career working in the NHS for over 33 years and in local government as a Councillor since 1990 as a Borough and County Councillor. I have been on Heanor and Loscoe Town Council since 2001, since which I have been Mayor of the Town in 2006/07 and 2007/08 . I am currently Leader of the Council.
