Heanor Beer & Music Festival Returns to the Town Centre
Get ready for an unforgettable day of live music, great beer, and community spirit as the Heanor Beer & Music Festival takes over Heanor Town Centre on Saturday 25 July from 12 noon.
Building on the success of previous festivals, this year's event is set to be bigger and better than ever, with 17 venues across the town joining together to create a unique festival experience. Visitors will be able to enjoy a fantastic variety of live music performances, locally sourced ales, craft beers, ciders, and refreshments throughout the day and into the evening.
The festival celebrates everything that makes Heanor special β whether you're a beer enthusiast, a music lover, or simply looking for a great day out with family and friends, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Come along and explore the town, visit the participating venues, discover new favourite performers, and support local businesses while enjoying the lively festival atmosphere.
With entertainment taking place across multiple locations, visitors can create their own festival journey, moving between venues and experiencing a wide range of musical styles and hospitality offerings throughout the day.
Admission to the festival is free, making it a perfect opportunity to spend a summer day in the heart of Heanor.

Heanor by the Sea
Bring the seaside to Heanor this summer at Heanor by the Sea on Saturday 1 August, taking place on Heanor Market Place from 9am to 2pm.
The event will feature a variety of free family entertainment and attractions, including pop-up games, walkabout characters, Pinxton Puppets, a giant deckchair for seaside selfies, an ice cream van and lots more.
Residents and visitors alike are invited to come along and enjoy a fantastic day of summer fun in the town centre.

Teddy Bear's Picnic at Infinite Wellbeing Community Centre
Pack your picnic, bring your favourite teddy, and join us for a fun-filled Teddy Bear's Picnic this summer!
Families are invited to enjoy a morning of community, play, and picnic fun at the Infinite Wellbeing Community Centre. This family-friendly event is a great opportunity for children to bring along their favourite teddy bear, make new friends, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon together.

Summer Fair & Family Fun Day at The Dwelling Place
Come along for a fantastic day of family fun at The Dwelling Place Summer Fair & Family Fun Day on Friday 4 September, from 10.00am to 3.00pm, at The Dwelling Place, Mansfield Road, Heanor, DE75 7AQ.
With FREE entry, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Browse the market stalls, try your luck on the raffle and tombola, enjoy fun alley games, face painting and crafts, tuck into delicious BBQ food and homemade cakes, and much more. It's a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends while supporting a local community event.

Heanor Remembers
Remembrance Parade & Service | Sunday 8th November
This year, the Remembrance Parade will take place on Sunday 8th November 2026. The parade will start from the front of Heanor Town Hall at 10:00am and make its way to Heanor Memorial Park.
The parade will move off and turn left onto Market Street, to the traffic lights and turn right onto Ilkeston Road. The Lord Lieutenant and the Mayor of Heanor & Loscoe Town Council will take the salute on the dais outside the first park gate. The parade will carry on to the second park gate and turn left into the Memorial Park, marching up to the Memorial.
The parade will halt around the Memorial where a short service and Falklands and RBL wreaths will be laid, last post, 2 minutes silence and reveille. The parade will then march back along the same route to the Church.

Everyone is welcome inside the Church for the Service of Remembrance.

Stallholder Applications Now Open for the Heanor Christmas Light Switch-On
The Town Council is pleased to be working in partnership with Heanor Vision to organise this year's annual Heanor Christmas Light Switch-On.
We are inviting local businesses, charities, community groups, crafters and traders to apply for a stall at this popular community event, taking place on Saturday 22 November, from 2.00pm to 7.30pm. The event attracts visitors from across the local area and offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your products, services or organisation as part of a festive afternoon and evening in the town centre.
