The Town Council were pleased to receive from Heanor Floral Group, a defibrillator for public use, which is sited on the exterior wall of The Old Fire Station, Heanor Market Place.
Since the installation of the first defibrillator, Heanor & Loscoe Town Council have since funded and installed an additional heart defibrillator at Heanor Baptist Church.

Also, in response to public interest, the Town Council arranged for CPR and defibrillator training to be conducted by John Whittaker of East Midlands Ambulance Service. Over two hundred members of the public have now attended training sessions, learning practical skills and gaining confidence.
