Allotments 

The Town Council has 3 allotments sites. These are located at Glue Lane, Loscoe. Roper Avenue, Marlpool and Woodend Road, Loscoe. 
All the allotment sites are self managed by an Allotment Association. For further information please see details on the website. 

Floral Displays 

The Town Council provides summer planting in Heanor, Loscoe and Marlpool. 
 
If you are interested in sponsoring a basket then please contact the Town Council office. For the year 2026, the cost per hanging basket is £95, which covers the cost/installation of the planted hanging basket, the required lamp column testing, feeding/watering the baskets and the sponsorship plaque. 

Hands Road Play Area 

Heanor & Loscoe Town Council funded improvement works to the existing play area on Hands Road, Heanor at a cost of £30,000.00. This money was derived from the sale of land and remaining balances. The play area is owned and maintained by Amber Valley Borough Council. Multi Use Games Areas Lockton Avenue & Charles Hill 

Heanor & Loscoe Town Council provided the biggest single funding contribution which enabled a Multi Use Games Area to be provided on Lockton Avenue playing fields. 
 
The Multi Use Games Area was provided following a survey of residents. The Town Council has also supported the funding of a similar facility on Charles Hill Playing Fields.

Noticeboards 

The Town Council provides noticeboards to help keep residents updated with forthcoming events and local information. The noticeboards are located outside the Town Hall, The Old Fire Station on Wilmot Street, Hands Road, Ilkeston Road and Outside Loscoe Post Office. 

World War 1 Commemorative Benches 

Heanor & Loscoe Town Council purchased two World War 1 memorial benches to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War 1. One bench has been placed in Heanor Memorial Park opposite the War Memorial and the second bench has been placed on the Red River Local Nature Reserve, Loscoe. The benches are a place for people to spend time to reflect, remember and give thanks. 

Pentrich Revolution Information Board 

Heanor & Loscoe Town Council financially supported along with Councillors Celia Cox and Paul Jones, the provision of an information board, which is sited on the Old Fire Station on Wilmot Street in Heanor. 
 
The information board provides details of the Pentrich Revolution, together with a walk around Heanor, identifying landmarks related to the event. The walk is part of 19 walks around the areas supporting the commemoration. 

Heart Defibrillators 

The Town Council were pleased to receive from Heanor Floral Group, a defibrillator for public use, which is now sited on the exterior wall of The Old Fire Station, Heanor Market Place. 
 
Heanor and Loscoe Town Council have since funded and installed an additional heart defibrillator at Heanor Baptist Church.The heart defibrillators can be found at the following locations; The Old Fire Station – Wilmot Street, Heanor, Derbyshire, DE75 7EF Heanor Baptist Church – 117 Derby Road, Heanor, Derbyshire, DE75 7QL.

Heanor & Loscoe Town Council contributed £100,000 towards the building of the Charles Hill Loscoe – Centre for Community & Sport.
