At its meeting held on 2 July 2026, the Town Council resolved to award a £2,500 Grant Aid donation to Infinite Wellbeing in support of its weekly community craft and crochet sessions.

The funding will help the organisation continue providing welcoming, inclusive activities that bring people together, promote wellbeing, and help reduce social isolation within the community.

Following the Council's decision, The Mayor, Councillor Abernethy, and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Gent, visited Infinite Wellbeing to present the grant cheque in person. During the visit, they met with representatives of the organisation and had the opportunity to learn more about the positive impact the weekly sessions have on local residents.

The Town Council is pleased to support community organisations such as Infinite Wellbeing, whose work makes a valuable contribution to the health, wellbeing, and connectedness of our town.
