Councillor C Emmas-Williams
I first lived in Ripley until I got married in 1977 and we have lived in Codnor ever since. My wife comes from Loscoe and her family still live there.
I was first elected to Codnor Parish Council in 1984 and Amber Valley Borough Council in 1986 where I have held numerous positions on Committees and Cabinet.
Since the opening of Charles Hill I have been closely involved in returning cricket to the site and involved in the 3G project at Heanor Town Football Ground.

Councillor D Holmes
Dale Holmes is an Independent councillor representing Loscoe Ward. He believes local government works best when it is transparent, accountable and focused on the needs of residents. Dale is committed to listening to the community, responding to concerns and helping ensure council decisions are made openly and in the public interest. His aim as a councillor is to support practical improvements for the area, encourage stronger engagement between residents and the council, promote community events and activities, help protect valued community assets and green spaces, and promote value for money in the use of public funds. He is proud to serve Heanor & Loscoe and to represent his community with dedication, integrity and a commitment to work constructively for the benefit of local residents.

Councillor M Howard
I moved to Amber Valley 32 years ago after meeting and marrying a local resident, and I have been proud to make the borough my long term home. I have a strong personal interest in history and social justice, both of which continue to inform my approach to public service.
For the past 24 years, I have been employed by Nottinghamshire County Council in the field of computer networking. Alongside my professional role, I have been an active member of UNISON, serving as a workplace representative, Branch Chair, and Labour Link Officer. I have also been a member of the Labour Party for more than two decades.
I am committed to ensuring equal access to services for all residents and to supporting a community in which everyone has the opportunity to thrive. During my time as a councillor, I have worked to highlight and promote the contribution of local charities and support organisations, including Salcare, the Derbyshire Unemployed Workers’ Centre, and Citizens Advice, as well as a wide range of community groups such as day care providers and scouting organisations.
I also take an active role in commemorating the service and sacrifice of the people of Heanor and Loscoe in both World Wars, and in recognising the ongoing dedication of those currently serving in the armed forces.
My focus remains on representing residents fairly, supporting community organisations, and helping to maintain a strong, inclusive, and resilient local area.
