Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)
There is a multi-use games area (MUGA) located on Charles Hill Recreation Ground in Loscoe. The facility offers all weather use for a range of sports, including wheelchair friendly activities.
There are two goal ends for football, cricket and basketball sports, available for all weather use throughout the year.

Heanor Juniors Annual Football Tournament at Charles Hill
Each year, the Heanor Juniors Annual Football Tournament brings the local community together at Charles Hill Playing Fields for a vibrant weekend of grassroots sport.
The opening day of the tournament sees up to 48 teams from across the East Midlands take part in a full schedule of matches, competing for both Cup and Shield honours. The event creates a fantastic atmosphere, with young players showcasing their skills and enjoying the spirit of the game, supported by families, friends and spectators.
The tournament is made possible thanks to the dedication of a large team of volunteers who contribute months of planning and preparation. On the day, volunteers take on a wide range of roles, from managing parking and officiating matches to running food facilities and coordinating the event. Their commitment plays a vital role in delivering a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for all involved.
The second day of the tournament continues in the same spirit, with a further 47 teams taking part and another full day of football and community activity.
Visitors can also enjoy refreshments on site, making the event a great day out for families and residents alike.
