The date for this year's Annual Christmas Lights Switch On which is held on Heanor Market Place is Saturday 22nd November 2025.

⏰ Time: 12pm onwards - Lights switched on at 5pm
What's Happening:
🎡 Fair rides - Heanor Market Place
🎁 Christmas Market - Godfrey Street from 2pm
🎅🏻 Santa's Grotto – The Old Fire Station, Wilmot
Street 2pm to 5:30pm. A chance for little ones to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes 💫There will be a post box for letters to Santa 🎅🏻📮
🎅🏻 Santa’s Elves Workshop - Ian Cox Room - Heanor Town Hall 2pm to 6pm
🎭 Pinxton Puppets, story telling, activities & refreshments - St Lawrence Church from 12pm to 5pm
🎄 Christmas Lights Switch-On – Watch as Heanor lights up for Christmas 🌟 Lights switched on at 5pm
🎤 Music from the award winning dementia choir Sing Along with Ellie 🩵
🎤Music from Shirland Welfare Brass and Deep Down Brass
👀 Naughty Elf on the Shelf will be causing havoc around the town together with his friends
🛍 Local Traders – Pick up some unique Christmas gifts from our wonderful local businesses
🚒 The crew from Heanor Fire Station will be on Godfrey Street from 4pm
🧨 Grand fireworks finale at 7:30pm
